Hi neighbors, it's Susy Thomas. I was at the HOA meeting for Sevita last night, so I thought I'd fill you in on some of the things that they talked about. Everybody wants to know about the commercial side, and they had a lot of information.
First, the bad news. Their in talks with a high end grocer, but they don't expect the grocery to break ground until 2021. They are also in discussions with a hairdresser, a dry cleaner, a coffee shop/brewery, I didn't quite understand that, and a sushi restaurant, and a few other restaurants. So if you got this on your front porch ignore it, because it's wrong. I don't know where this came from, wasn't me.
In any case, the other news: the school, they met with the San Diego schools last week, and the school district plans to break ground on that elementary school in the next nine to 12 months. So it looks like we're going to get the school before we'll get the grocer.
The other news is the park. Now the new construction that's two phases, the first lower phase is where the picnic area and the playground is. The upper area is where the gardens and the walkway will be, so the gardens and the walkway on the upper end, those are going to be done by June. So they're trying to get the city to let us open the upper area of the park in June, because the picnic and playground area is going to take until probably January.
So hopefully we can get that upper area opened, because it should look lovely with the green and the flowers and all. So those are the most important things that came out of the meeting. If you have any questions, call or text me, and I'll have some more information about some other things that they discussed that aren't quite as important or interesting tomorrow.
So give me a call, shoot me a text, Susy Thomas, your neighbor.
